Intermediate to Advanced level strings and piano students aged 12-18 are encouraged to apply. Contact us if you don’t quite fall within those boundaries but you’re really interested anyway - we’ll see what we can do! We have room for up to 18 participants forming up to 4 different chamber groups.

Accepted applicants will be assigned to one of four ensembles as their core group for the week. Appropriate repertoire for each ensemble to study during the week will be identified, assigned and distributed prior to the workshop for a limited amount of pre-workshop practice. Our goal is for each ensemble to perform at least one work on the final concert. There will be multiple opportunities to sight read and study other music with the same or different ensemble combinations within the workshop throughout the week.

Daily schedule runs 9am-4pm Monday through Friday. Friday also includes optional “dinner & a movie” done by 9pm. Saturday features one last 9am-11am dress rehearsal session followed by a lunchtime final concert at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on 100 st at 84th Ave in Edmonton.

A typical day looks something like:

Daily activities include multiple coaching sessions with faculty, opportunities for independent rehearsal time, chamber group and solo masterclass performance opportunities, organized and supervised outdoor recreational activities in backyard and across the street in Windsor Park. 

Participants responsible to BYO lunches; the workshop will provide snacks and drinks for breaks throughout the week, Friday dinner, and a post-concert reception on Saturday.

$250 deposit due within 2 weeks of notification of acceptance

Payments accepted either by e-transfer or by cheque; payment instructions will accompany acceptance notifications.

Tuition Balance and completed Liability Forms (provided with acceptance notification) due by July 15, 2023.
